What we can recommend to those who order a written translation

We live in the era of globalization, and its automatically implies that the needs in translation increases. But “bunch of guys”, who assure you that can translate, but in fact makes low-quality texts, does not convey the beauty of the original text, is also a lot. That’s why it’s so important to contact with a professional translation agency and maintain a claim of high-level requirements to responsible party.

If you don’t know a foreign language, and therefore won’t be able to check the ready text, pay attention at least to the following:

- you have to provide a really well written and issued text on the translation, otherwise not the translator will be guilty, but the author altogether. More specifically: it needs to be written well and without error, you should have a saved copy of the text before sending the original (so that the translators did not correct an original in order to disguise his “shoddy job”), the text should have as small as possible acronyms;

translation agency should be at least credible. There are also important points:
  1. Translation cannot be cheap. It is a solid piece of work, and a good result for little money you don’t get – the translation costs should be reasonable;
  2. The translator must have sufficient experience, but if the text must be translated by taking into account all cultural features – to be a native speaker of the target language;
  3. The translation agency, which is engaged not only in written translation, but also translation editing is more reliable, than that which doesn’t render linguistic reviews.
Don’t forget about the following (in the process of working on the translation):
  • it is necessary to explain the translator most in detail what required to be made and to be on constant communication with him;
  • don’t give too small terms – let the translator work quietly, sometimes having a rest, but isn’t sparing of oneself, having delivered time in a priority and having displaced quality;
  • if the text which you should translate, will still be subject to correction – do not give it to the translation until it “get into shape”: for correction translating you will have to pay in addition;
  • check that the translator or editor thoughtfully read the finished text;
  • if the text requires a glossary – provide it.

And, as additional information, it is necessary to clarify that, when you apply for translation agency, you should be ready that you will be asked not only from what language into what need to translate, but also to clarify the translation subject, the text complexity, terms, and propose the additional services – such as consultation of a native speaker on completing the translation. Make advances to responsible party – only together you will be able to create a quality translation, it is not an individual work. We wish you luck!
